as Coach · The DMA Coaching Practicum The Practicum was designed in response to organisational needs to introduce practical and structured coaching skills to the workplace and to 'raise the game' of any existing 'coaching' from mere conversation, advising or 'tell' to focussed, proactive coaching that produces real outcomes. The course is perfect for line managers who need or want to adopt a 'coach-like approach' with their team, or want to hone or refresh their existing skills. The 3 day course provides participants with up to 10 key coaching skills, a practical application of a coaching model. The highly interactive format means participants are immediately putting into practice their newly learnt skills. What this course also does, is demonstrate that effective coaching can take place in just a few minutes in an informal situation, and destroys the perception that coaching can only occur in a 'set piece' coaching session of an hour or more. To maximise the business benefit of this training we would recommend the participants are given coaching support during and after their training for supervision purposes and also to reinforce new skills learnt.
