Seminars · Women and Leadership - a New Reality This programme was created in response to requests from organisations keen to support their female managers following staff survey results or diversity project findings. Each programme is tailored to meet the specific needs of the organisation as we strongly believe that no two organisations are precisely the same; this means the format can vary to suit you and your people best. Here in the 21st Century women in organisations, communities, or as thought leaders, still lag behind men in taking and remaining in leadership, despite the efforts of both organisations and women to address this imbalance. From an organisational standpoint this represents an underutilisation of resources, potential and the benefits that come with diversity - to put it bluntly - it's a waste of valuable assets. From an individual's standpoint - they feel they cannot fulfil their full potential - they become frustrated and demoralised and often move jobs or career. So what's going wrong? This programme starts by exploding some of the limiting perceptions and beliefs of organisations, society and women themselves that are barriers to becoming leaders. We shall also ask the question 'Is this a matter of choice?' Are organisations, and indeed women, choosing against leadership - either at a conscience or subconscious level? And what can each of us do to turn this around? With this awareness we then explore some of the strategies that both organisations and individuals can adopt to overcome these barriers and choose to create a new reality.
