DMA
Statement of Coaching Standards and Ethics
- We will, at the beginning of each coaching relationship,
ensure that our coaching clients understand the terms of the coaching agreement
between us.
- We will not claim or imply outcomes that we cannot
guarantee.
- We will respect the confidentiality of our client's
information, except as otherwise authorised by my client, or as required by
law.
- We will be alert to noticing when a client is no longer
benefiting from our coaching relationship and thus would be better served by
another coach or by another resource and, at that time, we will encourage our
clients to make that change.
- We will avoid conflicts between our interests and the
interests of our clients.
- Whenever the potential for a conflict of interest arises, we
will, on a timely basis, discuss the conflict with our client to reach an
informed agreement with our client on how to deal with it in whatever way best
serves our client.
- We will not give our clients or any prospective clients
information or advice we know to be confidential, misleading or beyond our
competence.
- We will acknowledge the work and contributions of others; we
will respect copyrights, trademarks and intellectual property rights and will
comply with applicable laws and our agreements concerning these
rights.
- All of our coaches will coach in a manner compatible with the
ICF Definition of Coaching.
